Clinical research giant IQVIA and cloud system provider Veeva Systems have expanded their partnership to further increase trial speed and efficiency.

The upgraded partnership loops in Veeva's trial management systems like Veeva CTMS, eTMF, Study Startup and Site Connect as enterprise standard applications that will be used across IQVIA's clinical development studies, the companies explained in an Oct. 13 release.

The relationship started back in August 2025, when the two former rivals put aside their differences to launch a series of clinical and commercial partnerships intended to make it easier for customers to use their software, data and technology together.

The previous pact allowed for the companies’ data to be used on each other’s software platforms, with IQVIA becoming a member of Veeva's Technology, AI and Services Partner programs, as well as its CRO Clinical Data Partner program.

“By bringing our companies’ strengths together, we’re giving clinical teams a more connected way to work, built on frictionless integration of our respective technologies,” Richard Staub, president of R&D solutions at IQVIA, said in the statement.

The expansion allows the clinical data giants to continue to help customers increase trial speed and efficiency, strengthen site centricity, and make better-informed decisions to get life-changing treatments to patients faster, according to the release.

“This is an exciting expansion of the partnership IQVIA and Veeva announced last year and the work we have done together since,” Veeva CEO Peter Gassner added. “We are committed to supporting seamless product and services integration for the benefit of our customers and improving access to innovations for patients.”
