Biotech drugs offer first real help for severe psoriasis

The New York Times examines how the new biologics like Centocor's Remicade have provided the first real help for patients with psoriasis. Over the past two years other biologics like Amevive, Enbrel, Raptiva and Humira have all demonstrated efficacy in treating psoriasis. And some, like Remicade, have posted astonishingly high rates of effectiveness. Treatments, however, can cost between $15,000 and $25,000 a year and side effects are still not completely understood.
