Sequencing upstart creates Disease Weather Map

The start-up Pacific Biosciences is launching a new effort to use its sequencing technology to track the spread of pathogens. A group of researchers will monitor visuses at a variety of places around the Bay Area and use the results to create a Disease Weather Map.
