One of the great perks about this job is getting to know so many people who are driven to help others live longer or make their lives easier by taking steps forward with technology.
But in a vital and vigorous industry, there’s a surplus of stories to tell—whether it’s devicemakers that interact directly with patients and their care or developers of the next tools and tech that can help extend the reach of physicians and clinicians, as well as life science researchers and scientists.
So, each year, we ask for your help in bringing to our attention the companies you believe are the fiercest in medtech.
In our annual selection of the Fierce 15, we aim to pick the players we think are the most capable of delivering on their promises to advance the art and science of healthcare. Our 2021 class of companies—Fierce Medtech’s 10th annual list—included several that forged new ways of doing business in the face of the challenges posed by COVID-19.
Now, with the emergency phase of the pandemic finally starting to fade in the rear view, we want to see the companies that will help set the path for others going forward. That can include those still working to combat the coronavirus as well as those focused on any of the other many medical needs that have gone unmet in recent years.
