> Shareholders of Wright Medical ($WMGI) and Tornier N.V. ($TRNX) approved the merger of the two companies. The deal remains subject to clearance by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission; to appease the regulator Tornier is currently pursuing divestiture of some U.S. lower extremity product lines. The deal is expected to close during the third quarter. More

> Breast reconstruction expander company AirXpanders raised AU$36.5 million (US$28.3 million) in an oversubscribed IPO on the Australian Stock Exchange and will start trading on June 22. It is planning for FDA clearance for its AeroForm at the end of 2015, with a U.S. launch in early 2016. More
