California startup Maverix Biomics has raised a $6 million Series A to launch its Big Data-powered genomics software. The company's offering, called the Maverix Analytic Platform, provides researchers with a cloud-based means of exploring, visualizing and storing sequencing-derived gene expression data, the company said.
