Do-it-yourself movement notches win, partners with Dexcom in quest for artificial pancreas

Diabetes sufferers and their caretakers are beginning to take matters into their own hands as they impatiently await an artificial pancreas that would simplify disease management. Bryan Mazlish, a programmer working in the finance industry, has created algorithms for an artificial pancreas. He's formed a company, Bigfoot Biomedical, that recently partnered with Dexcom ($DXCM) in hopes of debuting the device by 2018.
