In DataLabs 5.0, Perceptive Informatics has tuned the electronic data capture cornerstone of its eClinical suite to provide real-time data interchange with other suite components. The upgrade emphasizes the company's view of EDC as the key component of an e-clinical solution.
Version 5 emphasizes component interoperability within the suite. An example is that between DataLabs and Perceptive's Randomization and Trial Supply Management technologies. The upgrade allows users to randomize subjects and dispense medication from either system. And changes made within the RTSM systems will trigger a dynamic patient visit within the EDC system. Such integration supports mid-study protocol amendments, which are often required in adaptive trials.
DataLabs is a SaaS application. Its eClinical suite-mates include the Randomization and Trial Supply Management (RTSM) technologies, IMPACT Clinical Trial Management System, Medical Imaging, and Electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes (ePRO).
Version 5 follow's last year's release of a web-based version of DataLabs Designer, a module within the EDC system. It includes a hybrid capability for paper case report forms and processes.
