NextDocs expands to West Coast

Here's more evidence of NextDocs's rapid growth: The King of Prussia, PA-based firm, a provider of document-management software for life sciences, has staked a claim on the West Coast with the opening of an office near Portland.

The company, whose business has been growing about 200% annually, said that the purpose of the Lake Oswego office in Oregon is to house employees that will support software implementations and sales activities in the region. Northern California and the Pacific Northwest are two of the most biotech-heavy regions in the U.S., and the new office opening comes on the heels of the firm's $10.3 million round of venture funding from OpenView Venture Partners.

"We've been steadily growing our business since its inception in 2006," said Zikria Syed, CEO of NextDocs, whose software is built on Microsoft SharePoint. "We've already provided outstanding services to our clients based in this region, and are looking forward to further developing these relationships in the coming years. I'm confident that this will help to support our growing client base, both in the United States and internationally."
