Microarray platform boasts visualization

Febit, a developer of automated solutions for enabling biochip applications, has integrated components of the InforSense platform to provide data analysis and visualization in the developer's Geniom microarray platform. Each Geniom instrument now includes the InforSense platform, workflows and visualizations, according to an announcement.

"Our applications require a platform with the ability to handle massive amounts of data, which can then be boiled down and presented in manageable size pieces to our end-users," Anthony Caruso, VP of Global Informatics at febit, says in the announcement. "Developing on the InforSense platform has enabled us to focus on the bioinformatics and computational algorithms, which are core to our business."

The InforSense platform provides data analytics and application development capabilities. The Geniom platform delivers a configurable microarray environment and catalogue biochips. Applications include targeted sequence capture prior to next-generation sequencing as well as transcriptomic applications. The combined febit/InforSense offering helps pharmaceutical and medical researchers analyze and view data to improve disease understanding.
