Cmed boasts iPad version of Timaeus

E-clinical solutions provider Cmed Technology is making two announcements today regarding Timaeus, its unified study platform. The company is demonstrating version 5--to be available in January--and it's unveiling a portable version, Timaeus Hotspot, for iPad, Android and notebook PC systems.

Hotspot is welcomed to the iPad tablet by another unified platform, DATATRAK's eClinical, as well as the integrated platform Prism from Nextrials, as reported in April.

Timaeus 5 comprises elements for trial building, electronic data capture and management, field monitoring, medical coding and reporting. Data management tools handle electronic, paper and hybrid trials, the company says. The regulatory-compliant software suite comes in SaaS and turnkey enterprise versions.

The upgrade improves investigator/monitor interactions both on-site and during remote monitoring, according to an announcement, and adds clinical business intelligence capabilities as well as live data streaming into life sciences hubs and analytics systems. Version 5 also integrates dynamic forms with Timaeus's adaptive trial functionality to support unscheduled visits and pages.

Cmed Technology, launched by the U.K. CRO Cmed Group in May, is demonstrating Timaeus version 5 and Hotspot at the Society of Clinical Data Management conference in Minneapolis this week.
