A genomics data-sharing nonprofit is trying to raise $25,000 on the crowdfunding site indiegogo. The organization, DNAdigest, runs workshops, hackathons and public education programs designed to promote the sharing of genetic data. DNAdigest began promoting its crowdfunding campaign last week and at the time of writing has raised $3,010. The campaign ends in 31 days, and unlike some other crowdfunding models DNAdigest will keep the cash even if it misses its $25,000 target. Article | indiegogo
