Pharma biz offers lucrative future for software maker Orcanos

Israel-based software outfit Orcanos has revealed plans to build off its experience in the medical devices industry to gain customers in the pharma industry, Reuters reports. The company has been helping Mazor Robotics, Lumentis and other device outfits with software to manage regulatory rules and safety risks. Orcanos tapped the company Comply to assist in selling its products to pharma companies, and the software firm has begun to seek $6 million in venture financing to bankroll its expansion into the drug industry.
