Quintiles to help Malaysia compete on clinical research work; Ventria forges supply pact with Merck KGaA;

> Ventria Bioscience has scored a supply deal with Merck KGaA. The Fort Collins, CO-based Ventria says it struck a contract to supply a recombinant protein for the life sciences arm of Merck KGaA. And EMD Millipore will market the product globally. "This collaboration with EMD Millipore, an industry leader in biomanufacturing, aligns Ventria's recombinant protein manufacturing technology with EMD Millipore's technical applications expertise and customer relationships in research, development and bioproduction," said Randy Semadeni, Ventria's VP for business development.
