American Clinical snaps up recruitment duo for undisclosed amount

American Clinical Research Services, a startup that debuted last year, hasĀ acquired the merged companies of Clinical Site Services (CSSi) and Patient Advertising Guru (PAG) for an undisclosed price.

With the deal, American Clinical, which is part of Latticework Capital Management’s portfolio, gets CSSi’s customized, site-centric patient recruitment solutions and PAG’s creative development, media buying and referral tracking services. American Clinical also picks up PAG’s Research Study Rockstar, a social media resource for patient recruitment, the company said in a May 9 press release.

Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

ā€œThe combination of these platforms provide us with solutions to help sponsors and sites find high quality patients for difficult clinical trials,ā€ Dustin Owen, American Clinical’s chief executive, said in the release. ā€œMarrying technology and consumer marketing with boots on the ground local enrollment specialists allows for a multifaceted approach to finding diverse patients to participate in clinical research.ā€

Both Chris Trizna (CSSi) and Evan Brett (PAG) remain as co-presidents, joining the American Clinical leadership team.

CSSi and PAG have serviced more than 30 therapeutic areas including oncology, central nervous system, metabolic and women’s health in more than 50 countries.
