SNBL USA Appoints Monica Vegarra As Director Of Toxicology Support Services

EVERETT, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SNBL USA, the experts in preclinical research, today announced Monica Vegarra has joined the executive team to serve in the newly created role of Director of Toxicology Support Services. In this position Monica will assume leadership for the husbandry, specimen management and specimen shipping teams, drive strategic plans, policies, and procedures while ensuring the quality and integrity of the data generated by SNBL USA.

Monica Vegarra is a toxicology management professional with over 26 years of experience in the preclinical contract research industry, including 10+ years of experience as a study director. Her comprehensive skill set includes hands-on technical experience with small and large animals and management of operational and support functions. She is well-versed in the development of SOPs and process improvements to ensure GLP and regulatory compliance. She has also served as a member and chairperson for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee. Prior to joining SNBL USA, Monica had held various positions including principal toxicologist at Smithers Avanza, director of vivarium operations at Bridge Laboratories, and study director at Covance Laboratories. Ms. Vegarra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bowie State University.
