Roche trumpets positive data on Actemra for RA

Roche is signaling that the data from its second late-stage study of Actemra for rheumatoid arthritis has delivered positive results that will clear the way to regulatory filings in Europe and the U.S. later this year. Actemra was developed by Roche's Japanese subsidiary, Chugai, but proved somewhat disappointing in its first late-stage trial outside of Japan. The therapy--a potential blockbuster--produced positive results in Japan.
