Flugel, Ph.D. has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Flugel has also been elected as a Director on the company's Board of Directors. Prior to joining ProteoTech, Dr. Roger Flugel was the CEO of TheraVida, Inc. (Mountain View, CA) from 2007 to 2013, and before that, was a Principal with Sanderling Ventures, where he served in a variety of roles as Director, Chairman, CEO, or board observer at several of their portfolio companies. While at Sanderling, he assisted in the completion of strategic corporate transactions for Kadmus Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Schering-Plough, now Merck) and Aderis Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Schwarz Pharma, now UCB). Prior to Sanderling Ventures, Dr. Flugel served as the Director of Venture Analysis at HealthCare Ventures. Dr. Flugel is now responsible for representing ProteoTech in all business transactions and partnerships. Dr. Flugel received his Ph.D. in Biophysics from Harvard University, conducting his research in the Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School.
