Pharmaceutical Strategies Group Hires Industry Veteran Shelley as Chief Sales Officer

PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pharmaceutical Strategies Group, the nation's largest independent pharmacy benefit and strategic consulting firm, has hired Robert Shelley as Chief Sales Officer to oversee its corporate sales efforts.

Before joining PSG, Shelley served as Sales Vice President for OptumRx. Prior to OptumRx, he created PSRx Advisors, a pharmacy benefit solutions firm formed in partnership with TRICAST Inc., where he oversaw the sales and pharmacy benefits consulting practice.

Shelley has also served as a Principal and Vice President of Business Development for the Burchfield Group, and was a director for PlanetRx and Prime Therapeutics. His earlier pharmaceutical-related positions included Merck.

Shelley earned an MBA from the University of Minnesota-Carlson School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
