Pfizer hanging on to more R&D staff at U.K. site

As pharma giants axe jobs in research and other areas all over the U.S. and Europe to trim costs, Pfizer ($PFE) has delivered some upbeat news to employees at its Kent R&D site in the U.K. The pharma giant has decided to keep 650 employees there--or 300 more than expected, the BBC reported. Pfizer had planned to shutter the facility in February; however, it opted to keep some of the operations going in June. Article
