NantHealth, a NantWorks company that is combining science, data and technology to transform healthcare, announced today the closing of $250 million in additional funding from one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds, the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), to further accelerate innovation that will enable better patient care and reduced costs.
NantHealth also announced the continued expansion of its leadership team. Steve Curd has been named Chief Operating Officer, former COO of WebMD, CIO of United Healthcare and CEO of VantageMed. Additionally, Laura Beggrow, former President of Strand Diagnostics and Vice President of US Sales and Marketing at Genomics Health, has been named as Executive Vice President, Commercialization at NantHealth. Scott Holbrook, co-founder of KLAS, will join NantHealth's Board of Directors.
