Mylan Launches Generic Version of Percodan® Tablets

PITTSBURGH, May 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mylan Inc. (Nasdaq: MYL) today announced that its subsidiary Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. has launched Oxycodone and Aspirin Tablets USP, 4.8355 mg/325 mg, based on an agreement with licensing partner Coastal Pharmaceuticals. This product is the generic version of Endo Pharmaceuticals' Percodan® Tablets, a treatment for moderate to severe pain.

Oxycodone and Aspirin Tablets had U.S. sales of approximately $6.5 million for the 12 months ending Dec. 31, 2010, according to IMS Health.

Currently, Mylan has 169 ANDAs pending FDA approval representing $100.7 billion in annual sales, according to IMS Health. Forty-five of these pending ANDAs are potential first-to-file opportunities, representing $25.8 billion in annual brand sales, for the 12 months ending June 30, 2010, according to IMS Health.
