WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LCG, a fast-growing, leading provider of innovative grants management and technology solutions to federal agencies in the areas of health and science, announced today that Chanaka Perera has been named director of technical services.

In this role, Perera will serve as LCG's lead technologist, responsible for managing, evaluating and implementing innovative technology solutions for LCG's customers. He will also initiate the expansion and redefinition of corporate capabilities in the areas of business analytics, cloud, mobile, health IT and grants management, which are critical components of government digital strategies.
Perera previously served as a program manager at LCG, where he was responsible for overseeing a team of more than 30 that provided IT services for thousands of users across various government agencies. Prior to his roles at LCG, Perera served as a program manager at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering and as a solutions architect at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases. He also worked as a web developer for a variety of companies including Kelly Services and Stock Development.
Perera graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a bachelor of science in computer information systems and has received a certification as a project management professional. He has been recognized by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering with a Director's Award for implementing web content management systems for the organization's public website.
