On June 24th we'll be running our seventh annual Fierce 15, a look at some of the fastest private companies in drug development. I'm in the final phase of identifying all 15 of these biotechs. This industry has always attracted people with a passion for what they do, and it's a great chance to recognize companies that are on a quest. Some never realize their ambitions, crashing and burning along the way. But I'm always intrigued to see how many of these Fierce companies go on to remarkable achievements. Even in the midst of one of the most savage downturns in biotech's history, a small, well run developer with the right science can build a company of considerable value.
