Kos Life Sciences and Jerini have signed an agreement for the development, marketing and distribution of Jerini's compound, Icatibant, in the US and Canada. Kos will make pay €12 million ($15 million) in upfront licensing, along with a €10 million ($12 million) equity investment. Icatibant is a treatment for hereditary angioedema, a swelling disorder, and was granted both Fast Track designation and orphan drug status back in 2004.
