Inverness Medical Innovations has struck a deal to buy ACON Laboratories' diagnostics business in North America, Western Europe, Israel, Japan, Australia and New Zealand for $175 million. Inverness gains control of a new manufacturing facility in China as well. Inverness also settled infringement claims made against ACON.
