GlaxoSmithKline has received European approval for Hycamtin, a chemotherapy treatment for relapsed small cell lung cancer. The drug is already approved for relapsed ovarian cancer. The treatment combines GSK's Avandia and Sanofi's Amaryl. GSK also announced that it launched Avandaryl, a new therapy for controlling blood sugar.
