GlycoMimetics Announces Closing of Initial Public Offering and Full Exercise of Underwriters' Option to Purchase Additional Shares

GAITHERSBURG, Md.--GlycoMimetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLYC) today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 8,050,000 shares of its common stock at an initial public offering price of $8.00 per share, which includes the exercise in full by the underwriters of their option to purchase up to 1,050,000 additional shares of common stock. All of the shares in the offering were offered by GlycoMimetics. The aggregate net proceeds to GlycoMimetics, after underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses, are expected to be approximately $57.4 million.

Jefferies LLC and Barclays Capital Inc. acted as joint book-running managers for the offering. Stifel acted as co-lead manager and Canaccord Genuity Inc. acted as co-manager.
