Gentium names CEO, closes NY office

Following it's license agreement with Sigma-Tau, Gentium said it will be closing its New York office and consolidating corporate activities and the executive management team within its headquarters in Italy. CFO Gary Gemignani will be leaving the company at the end of the month, and Dr. Khalid Islam, currently Gentium's Chairman and Interim CEO, will become the full-time CEO. Gentium release
