Robert Yates, a 23-year veteran of Swiss life science giant Roche, has been tapped to lead Billerica, MA-based EMD Millipore, a provider of products and services for biotech R&D, as its president. Germany's Merck KGaA snapped up Millipore last year for $7 billion, according to Mass High Tech. Yates takes over at the EMD Millipore unit for Bernd Reckman, a Merck KGaA exec who took the helm at the life sciences company after the buyout. Report
