Diversa, which supplies research equipment and enzymes to the biotech business, says it will cut about 85 jobs and concentrate its development program on late-stage products as it reorganizes around three key areas: health and nutrition, industrial processes and alternative energy. The cuts are expected to save the company at least $9 million a year in compensation.
