SOMERSET, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Catalent Pharma Solutions, Inc. announced today the appointment of Barry Littlejohns as President, Medication Delivery Solutions, effective July 5, 2011. Mr. Littlejohns will have full responsibility for Catalent’s Sterile Technologies and Packaging Services segments, including leading more than 2,300 employees at six facilities in both North America and Europe. Mr. Littlejohns will report to John Chiminski, President and CEO of Catalent, and will be based in Catalent’s Somerset, New Jersey global headquarters. Barry Russell, the current incumbent, will simultaneously step down from the role.
Mr. Littlejohns rejoins Catalent after two years at Danish biotechnology company Genmab, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development. Prior to Genmab, Mr. Littlejohns served in a broad variety of leadership roles within Catalent during his twenty year tenure, most recently Vice President of Global Business Operations, Vice President and General Manager of Injectables. Before that, Mr. Littlejohns served in a variety of financial, operational and leadership roles in Catalent’s drug delivery business.
