BioMarin got a big boost from the positive results recorded in a Phase III trial of Phenoptin for metabolic disorder. BioMarin and its development partner Serono plan to apply for U.S. and European marketing approval in 2007 and full Phase III results are expected in October. One analyst pegged market potential at a conservative $110 million a year.
