Are you going to San Francisco?

FierceBiotech will be making the trek to San Francisco this January for the annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference. With the speed-dating style interviews packed with bullish views of the year to come, it's a great way to start off 2011. It's where biotech companies come to make New Year's resolutions, and I wouldn't miss it.

Once again, FierceBiotech has teamed up with EBD Group on its online networking aide to help biotech executives make the most of their time in San Francisco. ConnectingSF--sign up via this link--is free to use and will help you track down the people you're trying to find in the scrum.

I'm on it, and so is FierceBiotech's publisher Arsalan Arif (twitter | e-mail). We're both using connectingSF to schedule meetings and encourage you to do the same.

Also, EBD Group is back with its annual Biotech Showcase which occurs concurrently with the J.P. Morgan event. Now in its third year, the Biotech Showcase moves to Parc 55 Wyndham San Francisco, Union Square and will expand to three full days.

We'll be mingling with the biotech execs at both events. I hope to see you online--and in person.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my take on the top five stories in biotech for 2010. We'll be taking our usual holiday break and plan to be back with our daily reports at the beginning of the New Year. While we're away, you can visit www.fiercebiotech.com for breaking news or check out our special reports archive to catch up on articles you may have missed. Enjoy the holidays! - John Carroll (twitter | email)
