Longtime Executive Brings Significant Global Experience to Support Company's Plans for Growth
WILMINGTON, N.C. - September 20, 2010 -- AAIPharma Services Corp., a leading provider of pharmaceutical product development services for more than 30 years, announced today that it has appointed Philippe M. Maitre as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Mr. Maitre brings to AAIPharma Services 30 years of global financial management experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Most recently, he was chief financial officer for Oscient Pharmaceuticals, a commercial-stage pharmaceutical company.

Mr. Maitre has served in multiple senior executive positions around the world, including assignments in Europe and Japan. He was the deputy CFO, corporate controller and corporate treasurer of Rhone-Poulenc Rorer and Aventis (Sanofi-Aventis), and CFO of PPD, Inc., a leading global contract research organization. He also served as CEO of Anosys, a company specializing in oncology. Mr. Maitre began his career with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Libya as the manager of French - Libyan Chamber of Commerce. He holds an advanced degree from Hautes Etudes de Commerce (HEC), the leading French Business School based in Paris.
