VC partner want public money to back Israeli biotech
Ruti Alon, general partner of Pitango Venture Capital, says the Israeli government will need to invest a significant amount of capital in its biotech industry if the industry intends to achieve its full potential in the field. The industry needs a half billion dollars a year in new investments, says Alon, and that all can't come from venture capitalists alone.
