Takeda drops Phase III sepsis drug

Takeda is halting Phase III trials of severe sepsis treatment TAK-242 and abandoning development of the drug following a development strategy review. "Takeda has concluded that TAK-242's profile does not meet the criteria to support continuation of further development activities.
