Stem cell committee undergoes ethics review

Stem cell scientists will have to wait for an ethics review before they see who gets Connecticut's $20 million for stem cell research. The state's Stem Cell Research Advisory Committee, which is responsible for doling out the money, has several members with direct and indirect ties to the University of Connecticut and Yale, which are expected to receive much of the $100 million Connecticut will distribute over the next 10 years. The Office of State Ethics has raised concerns about those ties.
