Tommy Thompson and Instead have formed Instead Sciences to complete the clinical development and market launch of the microbicide Amphora. "Amphora--which already has FDA safety clearance for human use--is in the best position to be the first approved microbicide that will be available over-the-counter to protect women from HIV/AIDS," Thompson said.
