SPOTLIGHT: Samaritan buys Metastatin

Samaritan Pharmaceuticals plans to buy all the shares of Metastatin Pharmaceuticals, acquiring its technology as well as the lead drug candidate, recombinant uteroglobin, or rUG, which is an experimental replacement therapy for epithelial cell cancers. "We think this is a great fit for Metastatin. Samaritan is obviously dedicated to developing therapies for cancer as well as several other important areas," commented Donald McGuire, CEO of Metastatin. No terms were disclosed. Report
