While reporting an increase in profit and a dip in drug sales for the third quarter, new Merck CEO Richard Clark is promising shareholders that he will unveil a long-term recovery plan for the drug maker by the end of the year. Merck has seen a significant slip in sales of Zocor, which is facing increased generic competition in the cholesterol-lowering category. Report
