Analysts were left shaking their heads over the near-term prospects of Incyte after the drug developer abandoned its lead candidate for HIV yesterday. The Wilmington, DE-based biotech discontinued work on DFC after finding an increase of hyperlipasemia among patients taking the drug. The news forced a 33 percent drop in the price of Incyte shares. Analysts now will shift their sights to Incyte's earlier-stage work on the sheddase inhibitor and a diabetes program. Report
