Sirna strikes multimillion-dollar licensing deal for AMD project
Sirna Therapeutics will pocket $5 million up front and could earn up to $245 million more in a drug development partnership with Allergan. The deal centers on Sirna's early-stage genetically-based therapy for age-related macular degeneration and other eye conditions. Allergan is already in an AMD partnership with Pharmacopeia Drug Discovery.
