Schwarz wins approvable letter for Parkinson's
Germany's Schwarz Pharma has earned an "approvable" letter from the FDA for its Neupro patch to treat early-stage Parkinson's. Schwarz will have six months to respond to the letter, which outlines additional data being sought for a treatment. That letter, though, hasn't dampened Schwarz's enthusiasm for Neupro, which won European approval last week. Company officials say they expect a U.S. launch, but evidently not this year as they had hoped. The patch delivers a steady dose of rotigotine throughout the day.
