Santhera pockets €16M in second round
Switzerland's Santhera Pharmaceuticals has raised €16 million through an extended closing of its second round of venture capital. NGN Capital and Oxford Bioscience Partners, among others, contributed to the round. Much of the money will go to furthering Santhera's late-stage clinical development program and early marketing efforts for its lead drug being developed for neuromuscular diseases.

ALSO: Acologix of Hayward, CA, has raised $25.3 million in its third round. Acologix plans to use most of the funding for the Phase III clinical development of AC-820, its drug candidate for the treatment of uremic pruritus in dialysis patients. Release
