Sanofi-Aventis touts survival data in Taxotere study
In a head-to-head study of two of the most popular chemotherapies for breast cancer, Taxotere proved more effective than paclitaxel in prolonging women's lives for certain types of the disease. The study, published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, focused on women with advanced breast cancer. Women receiving Taxotere survived an average of 15.4 months compared to an overall 12.7 months for patients taking paclitaxel.
