Roche suspends Canadian sales of Tamiflu as demand skyrockets
Faced with soaring demand for Tamiflu--the antiviral drug that can be used to blunt the onslaught of avian flu--Roche has suspended sales of the drug in Canada. Roche said that it is attempting to conserve supplies for the coming flu season and is worried that stockpiles will be depleted before they're truly needed. Governments around the globe have been clamoring for the drug as they prepare for a possible pandemic.
