Researchers see significant improvements in RA with Rituxan

Biogen Idec and Roche announced that a late-stage trial of Rituxan for rheumatoid arthritis demonstrated a positive result. Slightly more than half of the patients taking Rituxan achieved the response rate outlined in the primary endpoint, compared to 18 percent of patients taking a placebo. The data has been submitted to the FDA as part of its application to expand the use of Rituxan.
