Researchers halt trial of ReoPro for acute strokes
Centocor and Eli Lilly have temporarily halted a trial of ReoPro for acute strokes as a result of safety concerns. Researchers were investigating ReoPro's effectiveness in dissolving blood clots. Patients in the trial will stop receiving the drug as the researchers evaluate the benefits versus the risks involved in the trial.
