Researchers design effective bird flu vaccine

Researchers have developed a new bird flu vaccine that has been 100 percent effective in mice and chickens and can be produced in only 36 days. A team of researchers from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is working with the FDA to prepare for human trials, which may start in a matter of weeks. They worked with a human cold virus that was genetically engineered to remove genes that can cause respiratory infection.
